I was just mentioning how Nano talked about her life potentially becoming more of an ordinary one without that wind-up key in her back, referring to the name of the series itself (i.e. Nichijou=Ordinary Life).

Yeah, I think Yukko's daydream explanations of Mio's hairstyle make Natsumi's dreams about Kate's origins seem tame by comparison. As for Mai, I agree with you about the similarities between her and Kokage. I wonder if she has some of the same shyness that Kobako said Kokage does.

When you mentioned Tsuyoshi (the guy with the mohawk), it reminded me of when he pretended to be possessed which I thought was very funny for some silly reason.Babycowlandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15490017522204975933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7352472244109896568.post-33554332919684475572011-10-04T04:34:32.267+05:302011-10-04T04:34:32.267+05:30Sorry, I don't get the "Nano's title ...Sorry, I don't get the "Nano's title drop" reference. I did notice the fighter plane at the end and was just glad that they reused the gag from the beginning of the episode.

Any & all antics of Yukko left lasting impressions, especially her version of how/why Mio-chan got her hairstyle! :) Also, Mai-chan's reticent/gloomy(?) nature reminded me of Kokage at times. Other gags involving the guy with mohawk & Sakurai-Sensei's interactions with her students, brother & Takasaki-Sensei were also interesting, to say the least.

Well, the manga is (hopefully) still being scanlated so that's one more good thing to look forward to.Dharmesh Jainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16037295809424285269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7352472244109896568.post-13809721951760284072011-10-03T00:45:57.835+05:302011-10-03T00:45:57.835+05:30Sorry, I wanted to wait to comment on this until I...Sorry, I wanted to wait to comment on this until I finished watching Nichijou. I agree with you about its ending's pure "slice of lifeness," which almost seems strange to me given how random the series could be at times.

I am guessing you probably noticed Nano's title drop when talking about her "ordinary life," but I was wondering more about whether or not Sekiguchi was flying in the fighter plane with Daiku at the end.

Now that the series is over though, I am interesting in hearing if there were any moments or characters during the TV series' run that really left a lasting impression for you.

I hear that there is at least one bonus episode in one of the DVD releases so I guess there is that to look forward to.Babycowlandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15490017522204975933noreply@blogger.com
